Ohakune - unfulfilled Tongariro Alpine Crossing
We stopped in Ohakune as it is the perfect starting point for a hike in the mountains Tongariro Alpine Crossing (19.4 km). Unfortunately, the weather and inner strength were not good for us, so we had to change our plans. As a backup plan, we chose a walk with the Alpacas :-).
We regret that we did not go to Tongariro Alpine Crossing, we missed 1 extra day in this place to implement the plan :-(.
Alpacas
Alpacas - wonderful animals :-). There are plenty of alpacas on this farm. You can take them for a walk on the surrounding hills. Apparently they like it very much. You can take any number of photos with them.
Our house and surroundings
The house was very atmospheric and fantastically prepared for our arrival. Cleanly, breakfast on the table, fresh milk in the fridge. It was homely and very homey, despite the fact that nearly 17 thousand. km from our home in Poland.
