Our journey.

Our trip around Australia lasted 3 weeks. We passed  over 10,000 km.

It would not be possible without a motorhome.

We started in  Perth in the West  Australia and we're done  In  Brisbane in the east.

We also visited by the way  the island  Rottnest Island and Kangaroo Island.

Each place was worth seeing, because each was completely different and interesting.

ROTTNEST ISLAND

Smiling quokkas, bicycles  and picturesque  coves

A small islet near Perth. You can rent bikes on the ferry and tour the entire island in one day. By the way, admiring the quokkas, or "smiling animals" and numerous, very charming  coves.

WAVE ROCK

Rock formation  60 million years ago

Its colors and shape make a great impression. In addition to walking at the foot of the rock, you can also climb to its top - the rock is about 15m high, so it is not particularly difficult  challenge :-)

LUCKY BAY

A beautiful beach with white sand, turquoise water and  kangaroos.

A beach with frequent visitors   kangaroos. You can  run on it with a car, if the car has a 4-wheel drive. Lovers of walks can  look down on her while wandering  around the neighborhood  hills.

COOBER PEDY

An underground city in South Australia with opal mines and record heat

From Coober Pedy to the nearest town is over 500 km. The inhabitants are alive  they live and work, mainly underground (actually inside rock formations). And that's because of those who rule here  record heat.

ULURU

Aboriginal holy mountain

A mystical place far from civilization.
Eagerly admired by tourists, especially during  sunrise  and sunsets  the sun.

KINGS CANYON

The largest canyon in Australia.

A place for everyone. You can climb up a short, steep climb  or explore it on the flat walking path that leads down the canyon.  And at a nearby campsite you can meet wild dingo dogs.

KANGAROO ISLAND

The island of koalas, kangaroos, wallabies, sea elephants ...
And also echidnas and possums.
And for enthusiasts of active leisure: swimming with dolphins and sandboarding.

A dream destination for animal lovers.

Unfortunately, in fires, in December 2019 (4 days after our departure)  much of the island burned down.

Fortunately, the koala in the photo and her 8-month-old baby survived.

In mid-2020, the island was made available to the public again.

THE TWELVE APOSTLES

Twelve Apostles is one of the most visited and photographed tourist attractions in Australia.

A bit of the special one  fascination  this place  I do not understand. It is very nice here, but to visit this place on purpose to see it, it does not make sense to me. However, if you are in the area, it is definitely worth visiting.

You can buy a short helicopter flight on site, which will undoubtedly add to the attractiveness of this place.

The Twelve Apostles are a group of naturally formed columns standing right on the seashore in  Port Campbell National Park in South Australia.

Interestingly, there are 8 columns, not  12 as the name would suggest :-)

MELBOURNE

The second largest city in Australia.

It is also the coolest place on the Australian continent.

However, it also has advantages :-).

Here you can admire the world's smallest penguins in their natural habitat.

They also make a nice impression  colorful huts on the beach.

SYDNEY

Australia's largest city.

Fantastic place to spend New Years Eve.

The fireworks above the Sydney Opera House and the Sydney Harbor Bridge make an impressive impression.

It is worth spending at least one New Year's Eve in this place :-).

BRISBANE

Australia's most fashionable city.

Modern, multicultural, very well-kept, with a subtropical climate, i.e. all-year-round summer. Located on the east coast of Australia.

In our opinion, the most beautiful city in Australia.

GOLD COAST

The city of surfers and parties.

It is reminiscent of a newer version of Florida.  Modern skyscrapers right on the very long, wide Surfers Paradise Beach.

LONE PINE KOALA SANCTUARY

A sanctuary full of kangaroos and koalas.

Kangaroos inhabit a large part of the garden.

Visitors enter their area, where you can feed kangaroos, touch them and take free photos with them.

Koalas inhabit the local eucalyptus in large numbers, so you can watch them closely.

AUSTRALIA ZOO

The Astralia Zoo, known as the House of the Crocodile Hunter, is a zoo on the Sunshine Coast, approximately 70 km from Brisbane.

Wonderful animals, staying in seemingly comfortable conditions.

You can take pictures of yourself or go for walks with many animals.

For those mega  brave possible walk with the tiger.

TAMBORINE NATIONAL PARK

Subtropical rainforest, full of majestic eucalyptus and giant palm trees.

A POLISH PIECE OF FLOOR

Polish restaurant close to Brisbane. Great views, beautiful parrots, Polish dishes: bigos, dumplings ... Only shocking prices.

Golf course.

There are tons of fantastic golf courses in Australia.

We visited a place near Brisbane - Noosa Springs Golf & Spa Resort.

A beautiful, vast area, and a kangaroo as a regular visitor :-).
